About the initiative

Digital inclusion for NGOs and fostering a culture of giving

The Mercado Libre Solidario program puts our ecosystem to work to strengthen social organizations, promoting their digital inclusion and facilitating their ability to reach donors and raise funds. In this way, we help NGOs continue working toward their causes and the development of increasingly fair and democratic societies throughout Latin America.

How it works

By joining the program, organizations gain access to training and digital tools that simplify fundraising and resource management. These include:
  • Discount on commissions when receiving donations via Mercado Pago.
  • Sell products or services with a 100% bonus on Mercado Libre.
  • Connect with other organizations in Latin America.
In 2025, Mercado Libre Solidario held the second edition of MELI Solidario Week, featuring free training sessions for social organizations in Argentina and Mexico, focused on digital marketing and fundraising. The initiative included virtual and in-person workshops with practical methodologies to strengthen management and expand the organizations’ reach. In total, 970 representatives registered, and over 68% participated in more than one activity.
The initiative plays a special role in emergency situations, such as fires and floods. Learn more about our humanitarian efforts.
