The identity validation process is a security measure required by the Mercado Pago platform for all users. It is very important to complete this process in order to continue using your account. To successfully validate your identity, you need to upload the following documentation:

• Power of attorney, minutes of the meeting or articles of association.
• Identity document front and back.
• Selfie showing your identity document.

To switch from a personal account to a business account, you need to follow these steps:

• Open your Mercado Libre / Mercado Pago account.
• Click on “Your profile”.
• Click on “Your data”.
• Under “Personal data”, click on “Modify personal data”.
• Choose the option “Update my tax status and attach the corresponding documentation”.

The change to a business account must be made by the president of the NGO or someone listed in one of these documents:

• Minutes of the Assembly.
• Bylaws.
• Power of attorney with notarized signature.

• Personal data > “Modify personal data”.
• Update my tax regime and attach the corresponding documentation.

Yes, you can receive donations from abroad using an international credit card.

The information in the Mercado Pago reports meets the legal data protection requirements for users. For a formally registered NGO, you can download the Settlement Report and Release, which include the minimum donor data required to file the necessary reports with the relevant authorities.

Digital Withdrawals

• First, go to your nearest or preferred ATM.
• In your Mercado Pago app, go to the Withdraw Money option and then the QR Code Digital Withdrawal option.
• Then choose the amount you want to withdraw.
• On the cash screen, select the Digital Withdrawal option and tap on the QR Code option.
• Finally, point your cell phone camera at the QR Code on the ATM screen!

• Go to the nearest ATM or one of your choice.
• Insert your Mercado Pago card.
• Choose the Withdrawal option and then add the desired amount.
• Enter your password.
• Confirm the withdrawal.

Through the Settlement Report or account balance report, you can view the transaction details that affected the account balance (payments, money inflows, refunds, etc.) over a period of time, with a breakdown of net and gross amounts. It is ideal for reconciliations because of the information it provides: approved transactions (settlement), full or partial refunds (refund), transactions under dispute or with a chargeback (chargeback and dispute), and money withdrawn (withdrawal). Because it is a document that provides more detailed information, we recommend that it be scheduled periodically, so you can always have the information you need on hand.
